Unless you have an old ass boiler system that can take an extended period of time to start heating up, the answer is ‘when you’re chilly’, like literally even if you get a little chilly after sunset when you had the AC on 2 hours before.

because the UI is designed for ease of use by a controller on a console by the lowest common denominator player and they already overcomplicated it to make it ‘pretty’ with its quadrants on opening the UI. Most players aren’t going to make use of that kind of fine grain of utility so it’s a waste of resources unless…

They are. They’re designed for consoles and tv readability and controller ease. It would be nice to have a pc exclusive setup too but...obviously we have our own solutions.
