It's like... Patriarchy has finally managed to worm its way into the 'feminism' label and is attempting to twist it into meaning something it's absolutely not (in my opinion)

I don't think I've ever agreed with something so much.

Owning her sexuality? How so?

I'm not sure I think she is probably saying it as saying 'I'm feminist' is quite controversial. Not all popstars admit it. Its a good thing she's saying it but I feel like she is to get attention.
That or she thinks all feminism comes down to having the 'right' to get half naked on stage and prance around and 'express

Exactly. She's saying she's feminist for the exact same reason she went on stage in flesh colored pvc knickers, surrounded by WOC dressed as teddy bears, rubbing her bum on a man old enough to be her dads crotch and pretending to masturbate with a foam finger.
To be controversial and for ATTENTION!
I bet she doesn't

Biggest Feminist. Ever.

Yeah I agree, there's so many good female indie singers ( This Is the Kit, are my favorite at the minute) and the most recognition they get here is their song played on an advert and possibly an appearance on Jools Holland if theyre very very lucky. Then they overly push someone like Lissie (mainly famous for a cover

I thought indie was bigger in the 80's joy division, the smiths, stone roses, echo and the bunnymen were all mainstream. Then there was blur, pulp, oasis. All ( except blur) are good working class bands. Nowdays we have upper middle class public school educated bands i.e MUMFORD AND SONS! and pop with guitars that

And you got rid of Julia Gillard?!?

She tried to ground for knowing what condoms where at 12?!?

She wants to know why sexism in hip hop is always mocked yet the blatent lack of a female 'indie' group is never brought up. Not directly related to Lily Allen but sort of on topic. I think thats what it is anyway.

Oh I don't class them as indie. I think that's where the confusion is sorry about that, I class them more as pop with guitars. So, then yeah I agree with you theres no mainstream pop indie girl group and maybe that should change. I was talking more about 'underground' indie where theres quite a lot of female singers

I'd say indie as a genre in general is underplayed in the mainstream though. Especially in the UK where the charts seem to be pop/dance possibly a bit of hip hop and r'n'b. Occasionally kings of leon and arctic monkeys will break the top 20 but they seem to be the only two. I know not all hip hip is sexist Tyler the

To be fair , theres a lot less sexism in indie than in hip hop

I'm not sure what I make of the video....
BUT how on earth did she get away with that Azelia Banks tweet?!?!

he he he he so excited.
I want her to wear her rumours cover outfit.

YES! YES! YES!
I love her so.

That'd so be me. I can't deal with poo. Not now, not ever!
the thought of this has me borking ha

I know its good to see Trisha doing well.
I just assumed she'd not done much since leaving 'Trisha' but here she is with her own show in America.

HA HA HA I never even thought of that. How can they be racist when they think we all come from adam and eve?
