Same here. My younger siblings were born in 1995 and 1998, respectively, and there’s no way we’re part of the same generation. And this isn’t a superiority thing, they’re way better than me.

Someone either here at AV or The Root wrote up an interesting piece about Black Panther’s potential LGBT character/scene, arguing that it’s for the best that they don’t give us tiny little bits of queer characters, and instead should fully incorporate them into the story the same way straight characters are. The…
The queer reading of the movie is completely valid (and one that I read while watching). Growing up closeted can be more than just “putting on a mask”. Have you never heard of homophobic parents keeping their flamboyant or butch or otherwise non-gender-confirming children out of view of others? This Onion video, a…
That Kinja cash injection is yielding results.
Lies!
Paul Lynde was an excellent choice and I think for me BenDeLa was more impressive because it was SO different from her Maggie Smith impression.
I actually brought this up in my previous review. Shorter version though: Who are we supposed to root for, when all the things these kids want (bad music, a criminal empire, gang stuff, who even knows with Betty) are absolutely terrible?
Also incredibly plot convenient that this super shady drug dealer just happened to not have any pass code lock on his cell phone whatsoever.
Or think to check for his cell phone before they dispose of the body.
She would be killer as Batgirl.
But Riverdale, with even more episodes this season, has entirely forgotten about Cheryl, as well as Josie and Kevin. It’s inexcusable.
The Cooper’s are very bad at covering up a murder. Somehow they didn’t even notice that the victim’s car was sitting directly across the street for two days.
For a few seconds it felt like the car wasn’t going to sink. A great moment of tension in a great looking scene.
When she said “it wouldn’t matter” that it was self-defense (or mom-defense or whatever), I took that to mean because Chic is a sex worker from the wrong side of the tracks, so the justice system would lock him up anyway.
(Or, of course, because it wasn’t really self-defense and Alice knows it.)
I’m starting to develop a personal theory, that this show has two writing teams that work entirely separately from one another, and when one learns what the other just did, their reaction is to go “What a stupid fucking idea, change it!”
My main takeaway from this article is, goddamn, that is one good-looking set of...
I’m looking forward to this bringing down Tarantino. Overrated hack
God forbid they use a bunch of really charismatic actors with great chemistry to make a season where they solved some interconnected mysteries instead of having the characters utterly devastated as human beings every single season and their relationships torn down to bedrock.
Agreed. I want an Aja and Trixie top three just because they have the best commentary. Please don’t leave me, ladies!
It’s also notably similar to Bonin’ Down On Some Fish, the third part of my ongoing series about bonin’ down on some fish.
As a child in the book, Mike is the historian researching Derry as his father tells him on days he doesn’t have to work on the farm to go visit historical sites. He isn’t in school with the rest of The Losers due to his religion, but he has a LOT to do and he does a lot as both a kid and adult. He truly fights and…
