Is there a game company you guys haven’t burned your bridge with?  Or is it now company policy to not get review copies?

I was generally interested, but the demo put me over the top. I liked the little touches that weren’t in the original, particularly some of the smaller animations that made things feel a bit more “real”.

As games get better looking, that’s just something I notice more and more. A recent example is in Callisto Protocol

Tetris is big enough that it’s the sort of thing that if something else is just generally referencing video games, titles like Tetris, Pac-Man and Mario pop up. There are some titles and properties that even if you don’t follow the genre or medium, you’d at least know that it exists.  It’s like saying “Yeah, I’m

(If this ends up being some bullshit gacha game I will still enjoy watching all the cutscenes on YT 100x more than most games I will actually play this year)

This is the “I don’t even own a TV” of video game boasts

There’s a movie about how it was brought to the west from the soviet union and probably contains more high speed car chases than in the real story

Maybe, but his own words make it pretty clear:

As somebody with actual formal film criticism training, this is kind of the equivalent of taking your critical credibility out on stage and then just slowly and bloodily murdering it in front of the entire world.

I get what you’re saying, but this is more along the lines of not knowing what Survivor is/was. I also avoid reality shows like the plague, but I’m still aware of it.

I think it’s the fact that he’s a film critic that makes this astounding. I can buy that someone so far removed from all media maybe hasn’t heard of it. But if your chosen career path is to watch films, of which Tetris is one of the few games that has been around long enough and has enough cultural footprint to be

Oddity to the gamer generation? More like an oddity to everyone born in the 80s onward.

Now playing

Before you watch the Hollywood adaptation, take a look at Gaming Historian’s excellent doc on the fascinating history of Tetris.

Dismissing Pray4Mojo’s reply was a bad call. It wasn’t offensive, it didn’t attack or criticise you, it wasn’t in anyone’s ‘defence’, and it’s a valid point - an apology with action is better than an apology without. I have a hard time believing you’d disagree with that.

I’m all for usage of more sustainable materials, but I’d argue not to extrapolate things too much to say it’s not great for the environment, shall we? You are missing the forest for the tree there.

If you can’t think why your image and voice being manipulated to say or do anything that you didn’t actually do is in anyway harmful I must honestly ask what the fuck is wrong with you

Yeah that was bad too, what the hell is your point

If you can’t understand the difference between an internal mental fantasy and publishing doctored photos and videos designed to imitate real people online where they will exist more or less forever and can follow you for the rest of your life affecting your career, relationships, and other opportunities, then I don’t

This is a good step and hopefully it’ll help the women affected but honestly if he cared so much he wouldn’t have been looking at deepfake porn of his peers and friends in the first place. It’s disturbing to say the least...

Do you truly believe that no human being is capable of reform? Is turning over a new leaf an incomprehensible concept to you? Have a little more faith in humanity.

As an outsider, I’m inclined to agree. But imo, that judgment is best reserved for those who were abused and affected by his actions.
