This looks like every other id game ever made. Just with nicer visuals. It looks like they're even using the same AI as they had back in the days of Quake.
I've never had an issue with it not being able to uninstall anything on my laptop.
Give Revo Uninstaller a try. It's a bit more advanced, but it'll uninstall everything as well as all the little leftovers that most uninstall programs leave behind (user settings and registry entries).
