We built one of these last year for almost exactly the same price as quoted above, but for software's sake, we installed a free copy of Ubuntu on the box (that runs in a Window's like similar GUI) and then a copy of PS3 media server. Neither copy of software costs anything (free) and now we can watch our media…

Is anyone else getting tired of all of Chuck's brooding? i know we spent 3(?) seasons of the two of them getting together, but can we please have one episode that's all spy stuff without Chuck crying so much? It's starting to feel like a soap.

@strich: er, that is i only watched the video for 20 seconds before turning it off.

I only lasted 20 seconds and started feeling dirty.

@Defendant: nope, it was the episode that's being pushed back. It's the Like a Virgin episode with dragons. But, for some reason, the CW decided we didn't really want to see it tonight and is making us wait another week.

How do you discover that you have this talent?

@jupigare: Don't get me wrong. My desk is glass as well. And it stays moderately clean. But i don't like the cold, sterile loook of that white. My glass desk sits above dark, hardwood floors, so you can't make out messes on it as easily as you could on this desk.

blech. to clean. i could ruin the look of that desk with one cup of coffee.

@SpinachPuffs: no, no. i wasn't implying that Gordon did any chop sockey. Mostly that it was wonderfully absent from the games. It seemed very out of place in this film.

Nice production values, but i don't remember Gordo knowing any chop sockey. And adding some head crabs would have made it a little more believable and a lot less The Walking Dead.

Any of those break down and you lose the ability to access your vehicle. That's why my truck is parked out front of the house. Weather the elements and if it gets damaged, well so be it. It's a truck.

@sneakypoo: true, but most pcs aren't open, so they tend to keep some of the heat in even if they've got fans blowing it out. no enclosed container.
