Someone needs to send her a cheeseburger.

@DirtyDogg: It may have been user error. I'm not saying it wasn't all my fault. But i was just responding as all of you do. Would i be a troll because i didn't conform to the popular vote?

@Michael Reynaga: We bought it for the two main purposes it's built for: Backup and media serving. It claims that it'll back up Macs as well and i spent weeks trying to get it to back up my Macs with Time Machine and it's just not simple.

Who folds their socks? Dump them in a drawer and take the extra 3 seconds to find matching ones. And if they don't match, big deal. Unless you're 14, and then yeah, it's a big deal. If you're wearing pants, no one is the wiser.

I obviously can't speak for 64 bit, but the current version is trash. It's convoluted, buggy and difficult to set up and manage. I'm tired of being Microsoft's guinea pig.

I've not had success using Handbrake on 7. I don't know if it's because the laptop is 64bit (I wouldn't think that would matter), or it's just quirky, but it routinely locks up during use. I've had to relegate my ripping to my Mac which handles Handbrake very well.

@SBM_from_LA: Pick up a Whirley Pop. It's much healthier and gives you many more options than that microwave junk.

I'm thinking of using some fat from this one.

I don't bother with microwave any longer now that I've got a Whirley Pop. You really can't do any better.

@Elvisisdead: Assuming WHS actually backed up all of your folders. It would never back up my media folders (which is pretty much the reason we bought the package to begin with). WHS was the biggest waste of money and time.

does this only use widgets? how would one incorporate desktop icons for other apps into this layout? can the squares be made into shorcuts for other apps and use your own pngs?

Firefox just became horribly bloated for me, even when i cut back on my extensions and took longer and longer to open. The fact that i click a link in email and FF decides it has to update an extension and errors out on opening the page is a great argument for pro Chrome. As i sit and type this in FF at work, b/c

Aren't bookshelves for storing books? When did it become a fashion thing. Slap them up on any old bookshelf, I say.

wouldn't it just have been easier and cheaper to buy a cover?

@jhmallett: agreed. Xmarks is the solution you're looking for.

I've never had any problems with Window's built in updater until recently when it tried to patch it and on reboot, it froze on the loading screen. It happens every single time and i eventually have to power it down and it restores back to a previous save. So a new updater isn't my problem.

@rockhopper: agreed. you'd rather trade off working in a pan on the stove vs waiting for the oven to heat for 15 minutes, then pull a hot pan out of the oven with runny eggs just to toss and put them back in? and how do you keep the eggs separate from the bacon? in the amount of time it takes to heat the oven, you
