What happened to the surfer dude's face?

How is the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue still a thing?

I totally agree. I guess what I'm more interested in knowing is whether or not the director said to them, "Ok, really crank up the sadness here. Even cry if you have to!" and then turned around and said, "Oh this is all a byproduct of our powerful message."

Yeah I'm still skeptical. Unless they release the complete raw footage it's just really tough for me to buy into Eli Manning looking like he wrecked Archie's Buick just because he has to say, "No more 'boys will be boys.'"

I've always felt terrible for thinking this... But does anyone else think the commercials with the actors and athletes crying while getting ready to talk about domestic violence are all a sham as well?

I don't see what the big fuss is about, once we get used to all the +1's SI's just gonna change the commenting system to something more confusing and irritating anyways

Oh the 'big game' factor is the only real reason I could see. Plus the production value on ESPN's games seems to be a bit better (but NBC's right there with them).

I hear ya. I guess it's just hard to shake the feeling that the league 'feels' more irrelevant today than it did when it was still on ESPN. That probably has less to do with the change in networks and more to do with the way the entire landscape of sports has been shaped in recent years though.

I would argue that low exposure on ESPN would beat big exposure on NBCSN. They'd get their highlights back on SportsCenter, they'd get their league promoted on ESPN's other sports broadcasts that blow NBCSN's ratings out of the water and the games themselves would probably be higher rated just by being on ESPN.

I think what's more likely is ESPN will offer streaming services in the same vein as WWE Network. That would be the death knell for subscription based television because by then you'll be able to get all your network shows online (or over the air), all your movie channel services online and all your sports online.

It'd be an easy way to squash NBC Sports Network. Other than the NHL, I think their only live sports rights are for pro bowl riding, a little bit of golf and miscellaneous Olympic sports. Kind of along those same lines, I'm really sort of bummed by the way Fox Sports 1 has been run. With FOX's rights to baseball and

Isn't ESPN basically the only reason cable providers have been able to get away with not going full a-la carte yet? I think you're underestimating how big ESPN's audience is and the number of cable subscribers who really only have cable in order to get live games on the mothership.

Any chance this is a precursor to the NHL returning to ESPN after the next round of TV negotiations? Because as much as I dislike ESPN, I sure do miss this theme song (and Gary Thorne):

They tasted the rainbow... but they found no pot of gold....

What broadcast was the video taken from? NFL Network international feed or something? I really dig the stripped down score graphic.

That's so sweet

did he take a helmet to helmet shot there? he kinda looks like he's walking down dream street in that shot

I'm from SoDak... This kind of stuff isn't the norm there. What I mean by that is usually the racism against natives is a bit more subtle.

aWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWkward

While I think you have a decent point, I feel like it may be a bit blown out of proportion.
