Yeah, it was made pretty clear in the first season (more than one character calls him out on it, if I recall correctly, including the priest) that Matt Murdock can't. stop. fighting.

Yeah, I agree with you. The big problems with Superman Returns were all in the writing - Lois Lane is a milquetoast Girl Friday, Superman as deadbeat dad, Lex Luthor with a scheme petty even for him. Kevin Spacey did what he could with what we was given (and we did get some incredibly hilarious one-liners from him)

Superman has so much potential, and it has been so wildly mishandled almost every time. I'm so hopeful that this will work. So, so hopeful.

I think it improves in large part because it really hammers home exactly WHY John and Dave are hetero life mates, which is that they essentially stop functioning entirely if removed from one another. But the way the book sends that message home is heartbreaking.

I liked the Terror overall, but I think I would've liked it a LOT more if it were about 300 pages shorter.
