I have no problem with a woman being the head of a company. Its just that lately there have been a lot of articles asking why there are no women CEOs in the American industry and how its about time there was one.
I don't know too much about her, but as long as she was named CEO because she is smart, a good business person, well spoken, strategic, etc, this is great news. If she was named CEO for the sake of having a female CEO, then PC has crossed the line. I surely hope its the former for GM's sake.
