I watched all of The Vow on HBO, and there’s early footage in there of Mack meeting Raniere for the first time at one of his weird-ass late night volleyball sessions.

I do feel like Allison Mack was a victim, but she hurt a lot of people and recruited a lot of people into this cult. I doubt she is gonna get no time.

Someone would to “stick it to the libs.”

I feel like people absolutely would. Idiots but, you know, they’re out there!

What good had he done. Shawn King isn’t the only activist that has a twitter account.

I’m pretty sure the Doctors she is seeing shouldn’t be talking to her managers. That’s a bit odd.

Agreed. I have had great experiences in therapy, and found it more effective in treating my depression than medication. But it was only that effective for me because I had a therapist who I trusted and had great rapport with. Finding the right therapist is crucial, and it’s not just finding someone with great

This isn’t enterally true. If guy was going off the deep end like Britney did his parents could step in with a conservatorship.

“The control he had to hurt his own daughter, he loved it. I worked seven days a week ... it was like sex trafficking. I didn’t have a credit card, cash or my passport.”

I would think if she has been in therapy for 13 years and things still are hard for her I would question if she is seeing the right person or has the right diagnoses.

It’s like an episode The Handmaid’s Tale. They would never rob a man of his bodily control over a pretty pedestrian breakdown (I challenge you to find a parent who hasn’t had one at least once) and a treatable mental illness. This situation is sick.

to your husband, I would ask “what contribution, exactly, has Shaun King made?”

His reputation is based mostly of the opinion of shallow yet well intentioned white people who think they are “doing the work” by following him on Facebook. I’ve been one of them in the past. It’s not a good look.

That man is a fucking grifter. Yall should listen to the Scam Goddess episode about him.

Watched the Erika Jane documentary yesterday and it’s pretty convincing. The voice mails of Tom talking to the family about why they can’t have their money . . . just, yikes. Personally I think he had the intention of paying them back, but got in over his head.

Erika is coming off like a sociopath! Lady, your family took advantage of the most vulnerable people. Every fancy vacation, every diamond you wear, every stitch of clothing on your back was bought with their misery and pain. Any normal person would read the room and display a little decorum or empathy. The fact that

With increasing outrage about non BIPOC playing people of color, able bodied actors playing disabled roles, trans people playing trans roles, autistic actors portraying autistic roles, I haven’t heard almost any discourse about having larger actors play roles for people who are larger in biopics or increasing

Fat jokes in general just need to go away. They are the tool of so many lazy writers and comedians.

The problem with well-known skinny and buff actors in fat suits and intentional weight gain is that none of it is done well.

Does anyone remember that cringy trend of talkshow hosts being “brave” enough to sport fat suits in the real world? I vaguely remember Tyra crying because no one would help her at the makeup counter when she was in the body suit. Do you mean to tell me her stunning exposé did actually not solve the issue of weight
