They changed their name because of how it stood for an offensive symbol to Black people. And in the process they infringe on the intellectual property of a Black woman and fellow entertainer.
If doing the right thing is genuinely in your heart, it’s not that hard to do the right thing.

I knew it was eastern Washington before I checked. I’m in eastern Oregon and there is SO MUCH CRAZY out here. Our county has a vacant commissioner slot and we have one woman running on a constitutionalist, pro-life platform. Not that county fucking commissioners really weigh in on either of those topics.

I am 1000% in support of Hilary here, but I wonder what treatment they denied. She had already had one ovary removed due to clinically diagnosed disease, why did they not rubber stamp the same thing for the other one and be done?

A situation with Chrissy Teigen seems like a odd choice for going hard on journalistic ethics when the country is on fire, but ok.

Nearly every celebrity profile in a magazine is there for the purposes of promotion for their newest movie/show, album, book, or passion project. This symbiotic relationship between publication and celebrity is not new.

Are people reading Marie Claire for journalistic insight?  

So why did Marie Claire still publish the story, if it knew that its credibility could be compromised by a writer accepting an offer from her subject before the story went to print?
