Most new cars won't allow fully defeatable traction control. It happens to me in my Mustang and Buttonwillow Raceway. Even with TC off, as soon as the car lifts up, the computer turns it back on. I had to replace my ABS/TC module with a race spec unit to get rid of the problem. So this is a pretty cool feature to me.
