I love the irony of this behemoth being branded “featherlite.” It’s like Lotus changing its name to “heavyweight sports cars.

Of course they don’t. No one has ever said they did.  What we can do as commenters, you know, the ones that make these sites worth coming to, is let the writers and editors know how silly the decisions that get made are.

Presumably the owners may want to transit the canal again, regardless of the disposition of this specific ship.

I’M JUST HERE TO SUBSCRIBE TO EMAIL ALERTS ON STORIES LIKE “ECONOMY OF EGYPT” and “RED SEA”.

I think the LF-Z is quite ugly compared to the Kia EV6.  Way overdone with all the angles.

This article is merely a continuation of partisan communication. I have yet to see EV or anti oil advocates address impending lithium and cobalt shortages, the associated environmental effects or the infrastructure issues surrounding light rail.

RV Driver: “Wow, this thing is really struggling.”

Disagree, BMW sells 30k 3 Series a year - that’s a good chunk of volume for one product line.  Would be stupid to walk away from it.

I can’t abide a system that rides along with me via GPS or data collection via cellular

Something needs to be done for sure with gas tax as the fund is running low (especially since it’s being raided for other things), but I can’t abide a system that rides along with me via GPS or data collection via cellular (I assume the OBD reader transmit via cellular). I’m not a conspiracy nut, but I know my data

Why make this so complex?

I would feel a lot better about this if they made vehicle weight a factor as well. If we are going to get into the nitty gritty of taxing people based on how much they use the road, then it should account for the exponential increase in wear applied by heavier vehicles.

I find that to be a weird thing to consider in 2021. You should then hold your nose for Ford and the Japanese manufacturers as well

And? No one is really attached to X cars like the iconic 3 series. People buy X trucks because it is a BMW. Is BMW, really BMW if they stop selling their core cars?

If the 3 series were to leave North America, I think that would be death for the BMW brand in North America. While people right now are buying BMW premium/luxury sporty SUV/CUVs, I can’t see them keep continuing to buy BMW trucks, if the cars aren’t made. If there are no real BMW performance/sporty sedans around those

auto manufactures don’t issue recalls till the accountants and lawyers tell them that it is cheaper to issue the recall then paying out victims and their families

I was about to say this. We had the bubble Taurus. Best family sedan I had ever encountered. It did 135 thousand miles before the transmission blew.

It is an example of how the war on drugs has perverted law enforcement in this country. Stopping the war on drugs is essential to reforming police.

This is one of the most idiotic articles ever posted on Jalopnik.
