Fuck you!

I (or my company) haven’t broken any State or Federal laws working at my job, and I dont get anything even remotely related to a bonus.

I love that flat face with no grille. It’s already the defining stylistic feature of this car. If they keep it, it will become an iconic design.

To be fair, the Mazda 3 is an unnecessarily beautiful car.

“We’ve got 3,100 dealers that we’re are going to be able to turn on right away to sell fuck up the roll-out of the Bolt EV”

The reason Chevy has missed the mark on electric cars is that the body styles they’ve chosen are, frankly, dumb. The Volt is almost unusably small and the Bolt (besides its stupid name) looks like a potato.

Good. I always hated the “star in a reasonably priced car” segment. Very rarely did they have cool guests, instead featuring some vapid celebrity fuckwit I couldn’t give two shits about, blathering on about how little they know or care about cars.

Whoa whoa whoa, hold on there good buddy. They could easily run a higher compression ratio in the current engine design. They do not, because higher compression ratio means hotter combustion and thus even MORE NOx, which is the chief emissions concern in this particular scandal. Opposed piston diesel engines are more

As a TDI owner, I have come to the realization that this is par for the course. They aren’t going to do the right thing. They are totally going to do everything they can to screw us over. In light of this, I hope the EPA, FTC, & DOJ return the favor.

It’s not even about the EPA or the environment. It is about fraud - a criminal act. If they cheated on their taxes or faked their annual reports to swindle investors they should get similar treatment.

Does that mean VW is going to have to Pinkie Promise on top of the fine?

1st gear:

So they’re blackmailing every nation that has a VW factory? Fuck that noise. The factory workers builds the cars that the company makes profit off of. If anything, the pay cuts and recompensation need to come from the management that fostered this situation, including re-couping executive pays of Peich and

While I totally get where you’re coming from, having had just one encounter as kid where my dad having a gun in his hand (just pointed at the ground) potentially prevented a far scarier night, I’ll never not have a gun in my house. Proper storage and (more importantly) training kids right goes a long way.

Ditto... and now I have a much shorter commute and had been thinking of trading the TDI in for something gas powered... then the car’s resale value went through the floor.

As an owner of one of these vehicles I would love to see VW propose an actual solution and implementation timeline soon. If it has to come at the hands of a judge, so be it. I’m kind of getting pissed at being left in limbo on the issue for 6 months with VW thinking they have many more months to work out their optimum

I think anyone that owned a VW and saw the value drop 15-20%+ and was offered a tiny deal on a new car might still be miffed.

Oh.

Niether. They will be held in contempt. Then they will file a motion, and the a counter motion, and so on and so on.

It’s right in the article:

Your ignorance is absolutely astonishing. As you can see from this chart from NASA, the carbon in the atmosphere exponentially higher than any other time period ever, and all of that carbon is directly attributed to our burning of fossil fuels. I will make it simple for you: CO2 is a greenhouse gas, which contributes
