There’s been an uptick in really shitty commenters on this website. Like, there used to be worthwhile conversation in the comments. Now most every article’s top post is some armchair-expert whining about something or other, most often about Kotaku itself, in true “gamer” fashion

Linda down in the trenches rebutting @#$% comments!  Good to see!

lol yeah i remember that too. that guy made some bold claims considering we both *checks notes* watched a movie and saw similarities to the director’s other work.

Is it the website or is it you?

It’s a well written article and stands on it’s own.  Good work, Linda.

gotta tell you, i turned in my copy the day that article went live. this is a month-long piece that was not influenced at all by magary’s (very excellent and very impressive) article. i’m disappointed you (or anyone) would try to make this a journalist vs journalist narrative rather than commenting on issue we’re

Not only is it not a debunk, I wouldn’t call it a theory or foreshadowing either. It’s more a moment of visual symbolism that ties into the thematic throughlines of the movie (and novel).

No they are LOOKING for one.

Never takes long for a Musk bro to show up and post something cringy and hilarious.

No, I’m glad it disputed my imagination.

Oh shit, no kidding. Hope all you are doing okay out there.

I started doing the same thing when they switched to morning releases. A little bit of Star Trek in the morning really gets the day going.

“Everything Everywhere...” makes a VERY strong argument about who that “new” actor should be....

If anyone can make it work, it’s Mangold, Williams, and Ford.

Irony’s a hell of a thing to commit to. You could just watch a good film, you know?

But maybe this time HBO wants him to commit to some actual answers to his bullshit mystery boxes before moving forward with a multi-season prestige television drama.

When does he NOT bite off more than he could chew?

I mean they needed 2 people to make out over the ruins of the city.

My understanding is “that idiot Christian” describes most of Texas and virtually everybody running for office with an (R) after their name.

I also would absolutely never drink and drive -- but enough other people do, that I think I’d put up with the inconvenience in order to stop them from doing it.
