That would make more sense. On the other hand, I worked for 3 days for Netflix (not my usual gig, just fell in my lap), for what ended up being a 3 second shot in a single episode of Godless. The amount of time sunk into some productions is amazing.

Just the nature of visual FX (and yes, Jurassic Park still holds up - with far less CG than people know, mostly in the dark, in the rain - all to conceal the shortcomings). Anything with as much CG from that era has aged poorly.

Does he need one? He’s fairly frugal, for the type of movies he’s made. Episode 3 cost nearly 70 million LESS to make than TDK. And he self financed it.
