Well, this will piss a bunch of people off.
Well, this will piss a bunch of people off.
I just take it as a case where you have to separate the art from the artist.
While I did make a personal attack, it was in direct response to a fallacy - not to establish it. You did that on your own.
But it’s hardly a new thing, for comics in general, or this character in particular. And like most mainstream superhero stories that dipped into topical issues, this seems to be dealing with it in the broad strokes, not anything crassly specific.
He came to argue that gun nuts aren’t immune to basic reason, then proved it.
And you clearly are someone without a thought to add to the discussion, and who calls names to try (and fail) to conceal this fact.
And so, rather than even discuss, they indulge their fears and freak out.
Did I say that?
Really, they were discussing background checks for alcohol?
“Kinja isn’t exactly the best gauge of my political beliefs.”
LOL. “Free stuff.”
Are you even capable of engaging without hiding behind a dumb-ass straw man? Adorable.
Sure, no idea.... because Kinja doesn’t have an archive of posts for each user that can easily be read to glean such info...
Well, that would be wholly inconsistent with how the character has been presented for decades. But what they’re doing now is not - its pretty much in line with stories they’ve done for decades.
Much like the gun discussion. “We should take more steps to ensure insane or dangerously violent people don’t have access to firearms.”
You deserve all the stars for that.
Well, one would have to be pretty ignorant of the character’s history to take such a stand, so Im gonna stick with my point.
No, that’s not how it works. You copyright specifics, not a concept. They’re in zero danger of a lawsuit.
I believe the correct phrasing is “assholes are pissed.”
