I’m going to reference my profession, just once, to contextualize what I’m going to say next: I have spent the last decade as a professor of Literature (and Rhet/Comp, but whatevz).
I say that to say this: Final Fantasy XV is by turns a brilliant, revelatory, and absolutely necessary change in direction for a franchise…
So you just started playing chapter 13 of Final Fantasy XV. It sucks. You feel trapped in a nightmare that will…
I think that’s what he meant too. Women don’t have broad shoulders, so you need some mass to convey that they’re being physically strong in situations like that. Nausicaa isn’t tall or muscular, and a potbelly wouldn’t make any sense given her lifestyle, so the mass would have to be on her chest.
I wonder if he actually just means her breasts needed to look larger to better convey her embrace as being comforting?
Personally I love it. It’s so jarring and so incredibly stupid, but I honestly appreciate the fact that they lean into how over the top everything about it really is. It’s obviously not as clever, but still it reminds me of the product placement from 30 Rock or Arrested Development.
I thought it was hilariously awesome.
I want someone to talk about me the way Gladio talks about cup noodles.
just remember, without that Cup Noodle sponsorship the game might never have come out.
God but there’s a part of me that hopes you’re serious. Grey’s Anatomy only wishes it could be as deep as the Trauma Centre series.
Certainly some of the best-known are. Johnny Weir, one of the greatest American skaters ever, is openly gay AND a big fan of Yuri On Ice.
Some of the real big names are – Brian Boitano, Jonny Weir. Oddly enough figure skating as a whole is pretty homophobic, apparently. I only follow the sport peripherally, though.
I wouldn’t say many but there have been a decent number of notable ones like Toller Cranston, Brian Orser, Johnny Wier, and so on: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:LGBT_figure_skaters
The director has said she always wanted to direct a figure skating anime.
To be blunt: That concept art is really selling me. Non-sexualized female armor is my kind of jam and then it’s just a great design.
Last Samurai had such a good ost
SAKE! SAKEEEEE!!
This doesn’t seem simple and clean.
Hmm.. Is it “Homophobia”? Maybe, it’s a possibility. But then what about the popularity of traps? The acceptance of Gender bending cosplay like Ladybeard? How about performers in stage play? It’s accepted. Okama bars? It’s there and it exists. Doesn’t that give some semblance that this type of sub-culture is accepted?

There really should be a way to organize the comments so that the latest ones show up first. Every time you post a new version of this list, I still see the same comment lamenting the removal of Infamous Second Son. Not that I disagree, but I wanna talk about Inside.
