Taking the “domestic abuse is okay sometimes” position is a bold move

“a paraplegic security guard” - I don’t know how to say this without being a dick, but, uhhh, odd choice for a security guard.

Let’s not forget Corey Lewandowski,“best tail,” and all that. Vomit.

Jason Burle, swears his choice of doormat is not about race but is, instead, about standing up for himself and his family, many of whom, he says, served in the military.

$200 doormats. Billy-Bob over here is so mad he’s just going to keep lining the NFLs pockets.

Seconded. My military fam gives zero fucks about people “respecting the troops.” They just want working equipment/competent leadership when they’re deployed and a health care system that works when they’re discharged.

As a veteran, I hate statements like this. The vast majority of soldiers I served with cared about two things: their own asses, and the asses of the people they served with. Loud, open-faced patriotic zeal was reserved for crazies, glory-hogs, and the chumps who thought their shit smelled better than everyone else’s.

Black folk are the only large group here in the states that didn’t have a say in coming here. No happy stories of migration; any national identity was stripped upon arrival. There was no space left for anything but the “New World”. In my opinion, that makes black folk the most American of anyone.

How dare you make me emotional like this in the middle of the day.

I like this piece. I really do. But I...don’t know.

“Black people built this country. Not like everyone else. More than everyone else. For free.”

Black people are the only group who has constantly held America’s feet to the fire to live up to the words in its Constitution. It is easy to coddle the country in the name of an anthem or a flag when you don’t have to suffer the consequences. They are enablers. We are the lovers of this country.

The promise of America has always been better than it’s past. True patriots strive to improve our nation for all of its people and to hopefully show as an example to the world. We are falling way short of that now. The Constitution and our laws are not inviolate sacred texts to be fetishized and chanted by rote like

Why is talking about the reality of what Black women face anti-Black male? We are always told we’re being divisive when we talk about what’s going on. It’s a great way to silence us and nothing has to change. This has nothing to do with white people and what they want.

Oh we goin’ to war. Believe you me, we are going.

In a word - violence.

Based on the recent dismal electoral results, we’re in a new era of smear-openness now, so let’s just say he’s black y’all, and he’s black y’all and he’s blacker than black and he’s black y’all, and he’s bliggity-bliggity-bliggity-bliggity black y’all.
