FF7 is a masterpiece. Xenogears is the remake we deserve AND need.

Having played both, I generally agree with the verdict. DQXI is the same game we all know and love, but MHW updated its formula and is much better for it. I’d take the game that dared to innovate (and succeeded) almost 100% of the time.

They’re not my favourite, for sure. Blocky and stiff. FFVI looks better. But to be honest I hate even more the overly-polished K-pop style of more modern FF (X, XIII, XV) so I’m not looking forward to this particular update.

I cant say I can even stand Bayonetta 2. I don’t understand it either. I mash a load of buttons and win. Over and over. There is nothing to it, I love arcade games so fine with games that may not be deep but there isn’t even any elementof strategy there. Then there is the juvenile dialogue and story. This is coming…

I worked for awhile at a church in Japan called South Osaka Bible Church in Izumiotsu, Osaka (it’s a completely Japanese-run church). On the first floor they have a small restaurant called J-Diner, run by a local chef. They serve curry there. It’s probably the best curry I’ve ever had in Japan or the U.S. I miss it…
