Coke Zero and Diet Coke taste NOTHING alike. They both use completely different formulations. Diet Coke tastes terrible. Coke Zero at least tastes like regular Coke just with artificial sugar. So much better to drink. Maybe the marketing was a bunch of BS, but Zero is the way better product.

Wegmans is another great example of this. Almost everything I buy from them is private label. In almost all instances, their private label products are as good or better than national brands. The only things I’ve found that don’t compare are their canned soups, boxed macaroni and cheese, and ketchup.
