It may surprise you (it won’t, but it will definitely depress you) to realize that these kinds of bills are mostly enforced by belligerent men blocking women’s restrooms (when they aren’t barging into them outright) and harassing any woman who doesn’t present as sufficiently cisgender.

The thing is, millenials aren’t actually entitled. Even the ones who are smack dab in it (I was born in 1990). The reason we’re called entitled is because we want to have challenging and rewarding work and we want to make more than minimum wage. It’s just a fallacy.

I’m 34 and I frequently feel that several jobs make it difficult to take vacation because a lot of companies are understaffed. When I had an office job, there was so much work to get done that it frequently felt impossible to get enough done to not be completely behind and overwhelmed when I returned back.

As a young millennial, I also feel that a lot more of the entitled/lazy accusations are lobbed at women—it’s always a vocal-frying Instagram-ing girl in Mom Jeans drawling about her blog in the “paint me a picture” intro paragraph of the angry op-eds about Shithead Youth by boomers.

It seems like he managed his anger just fine and terrorized the woman he was angry at. He knew exactly who he wanted to frighten. He doesn’t need anger management. He needs therapy so he doesn’t feel entitled to intimidate and harass women.
