It’s kind of a cheat, but also plausibly true: The galaxy is just such a big place, not many people know about this stuff. Especially since Palpatine scoured the Empire of Jedi references.

TPM is a better movie than it gets credit for. It really suffered because of the hype train (which also could threaten The Force Awakens). But that movie ages pretty well (except, of course, for Jar-Jar, I will Hate him forever).

I agree, but that’s what the character conflict in the second episode should have been about. Henry should have actively gotten in the way, so we’d understand the decision better. As it stands it’s very visibly the writers’ hands in the story, and that’s something we shouldn’t see.
