I understand completely. This truly does sound like somebody who isn’t all there. I consider what seem to be severe anger management problems that lead to the cutting up of a corpse a pretty good indicator that there's more going on here than just shitty behavior. I'm no expert of course.

I did my internship at a state-run forensic hospital (felons who were considered insane but were guilty of their crimes). Please understand that there are people who are just awful - not mentally imbalanced, not burdened with a mental disease - just 100% shitty.

This seems like the overreaction of the year. I don’t like the aesthetic either but saying that it’s going to send you to the hospital is absurdly overdramatic.

To refute a claim, you have to talk about what was claimed, and how it was wrong. So no, talking about how the people who made the claim are untrustworthy does not refute the claim. Discredit the claim != refute the claim.

He’s handsome and charismatic

One of my friends said she was going to stab the next person who asked her for raspberry ketones when that was big. I would never have made it in one of those jobs. I would’ve been fired for trying to teach people actual science.

In brief? Fell of the wagon, denied it, spewed hateful bile at everyone who showed concern, and failed to take responsibility for anything.

The only surprising thing here is that there weren’t more legit docs signing this thing. And that he holds any kind of position at a university. And that he still has a TV show after that congressional hearing where he had to admit that he was a liar and a quack. Actually there is a lot of surprising stuff.
