Hopefully this is not a repeat of the 3.0 to 3.5 update. I've just moved to 3.5 recently and it definitely feels slower than 3.0; a quick look on the internet confirms it isn't just me.

@speakerboy: That's with good old lead acids (the same kind in your car and relatively cheap to buy). The newer li-ions are so light that they need to add extra weight as a ballast.

@DoctorNine: I think all the recent "peak lithium" articles and comparisons to oil are bunk. There are plenty of lithium resources inside the US. The reasons why the lithium mines in the US closed is because the outside sources are so cheap in comparison. We can always open our own mines again if the need arises.

@superberg: A lot of the Internet is designed for ie6 though and it seems ie8 has overtaken ie6 in terms of share this month. In general I think ie6, ie7/8, and firefox are the browsers most developers target. Chrome is kind of gaining ground though. #iphone
