I get so mad about “sorry, I’m taken” being the only safe response. Honestly, whether I’m attached or not is completely irrelevant if I’m not interested in you. But, I have single girlfriends who wear fake engagement rings on occasion, because it’s easier and safer than saying “no thanks”.

It took a while for my husband to really understand. At first he didn’t get it because he’d never seen it happen. Well of course, no man treats me that way when I’m with you, sweetheart — they see that I’m spoken for.

Anecdata: As the girl child of divorced parents, I do remember going out with just my dad on those every-other-weekend outings and being made to use the men’s room. He was terrified of sending me into the women’s room alone at big places like malls or amusement parks, and losing me. So he’d bring me and my little

I’ve gotten so much condescending, shit advice from gym bros that the good advice just goes out with the bathwater at this point. It’s a price I’m willing to pay to not have entitled weirdos talking to me about my body.

I’d argue that she was even more the face of the show than he was.

You seemed to imply that all women who kill their child suffer from mental illness (which can be somewhat cured) but that the same can’t happen for men because entitled toxic masculinity cannot be cured.

I have no problem with understanding the root causes of crime. That includes race, education, poverty, etc. My concern is that some people are only willing to look at the roots of crime for people of a certain identity (and that happens on both sides).

So you believe that all women who kill their families are mentally ill while all men who kill their families are mentally fit but suffering from entitled white masculinity?

I think what they’re saying is that there’s a lot of context that needs to be considered. I’m far less surprised when an abused child becomes an adult abuser than I am when someone with a perfect upbringing becomes an abuser.

It’s assumed that a violent mother must be under some mental distress. Meanwhile when a man kills his girlfriend or family
it’s because of an entitled white toxic masculinity.

Did you read anything on Steven Avery/Brendan Dassey recently?

Currently fighting the good fight in “fleshing out” vs “flushing out” at work. Apparently we are big on flushing out ideas where I work. FML.

Ugh I hate it when I realize I’ve picked up some nonsense buzzwordy phrase and incorporated it into my speech. Ugh ugh ugh, those little phrases are so sneaky. Noted.

Here’s what I’ve gathered (and agree with):

burn in hell, you fuck.

AAAH this is what frightens me. :(

Haha, I’ve had my Diva for 12 years. It looks a little gross, it’s super stained, but I clean it well every cycle and it seems to have held up pretty well.

I used some that I made myself in college for a while. I have a lighter flow, so I might not be the best use case to study... but I liked them pretty well! I made them out of flannel, and oh god, they felt nice when I’d put in a new one.

Can we talk more about the IUD thing? I have been a happy DivaCup user for more than a decade, but got the Paragard a few months ago. I am TERRIFIED of suction pulling out my IUD. That fucker HURT to have put in, and if it comes out, then I am not quite sure what I’ll do.

Laws that dictate medical “facts” that are not based in medical science are so creepy-dystopian-novel. I can’t get over how fucking bizarre it is. Is this some kind of weird performance art by Margaret Atwood, by any chance?
