@CutTheRedWire: The way it seems, you wont be able to change your standard google account to an apps acccount. However, you can create an apps account now (with your cool personalized domain name) and when the transition occurs, you will have access to all the current features that google users get.

@forevermac: Perhaps. His comment only dealt with FCC intervention. My intent was only to say why it didn't matter if the FCC shot it down.

@Lite: an vuvuzela is me!: I call it bad engineering in assuming perfect care. I've had products go bad for this very reason.

@seven5suited: I bought my 360 in Dec 2006. I'm not sure what generation that puts it in.

VOTE: namecheap.com

New to me!

@blackheart-uk: Why couldn't you use the same approach for home-based DSL/Cable?

@Kasey Krehbiel: You'll never be a star commenter if you keep maliciously pointing out errors!

The LED lights would only work in an on/off fashion, or wouldn't work at all. LEDs do not grow brighter or get dimmer with the change in voltage, like incadescent "filament" style lights do.

I've been using the "Netbook Remix" with my new Acer Aspire One (dual boat with Win7) and have found it to be working very well. The menu system for the the "remix" version puts all your apps out there, very different from what I'm used to, but I like it.

@MCWHAMMER: Try this out... I have one gmail account POP3ing the other gmail account. When I reply to an email I receive from the remote gmail account, it automatically offers to send it using that email identity rather than my default one. You also get the benefit of having all of the emails in one archival system

@Verygoodyear: What incentive do you see for Apple to support other devices? Maybe I'm in the minority here, but the $20 in iTunes downloads that I've purchased are quite dwarfed by the nearly $800 in iPods that I've purchased.

@daveM7: If you're running Windows Vista or 7, it comes with the latest version of IIS. You can set up your site as the Default Site and access it using localhost or edit your hosts file to make [myfakedomain.com] point to localhost.

@Dr. Vrein: I know how to be on the other side of this. I was always getting calls from my mom's friend. "I saw this file called [win.exe] and I didn't know what it was, so I deleted it. Why won't my Windows start when I turn on my computer?"

@JayDeEm: For me, they can stand to be annoyed :-)

@jupiterthunder: Not sure if this is true or not, but a "tomato allergy" friend once told me that once the tomatoes were cooked, as in pizza sauce, there wont be an allergic reaction anymore.

@AndiC: The argument is that even when nothing is connected to the DC side of the adapter, the adapter still draws energy, wasting it. Switching the DC side doesn't change this behavior.

@madjack1987: Or just kill the power to it before you work on it, as you should.
