That's well over 100 words about Gears of War 2, and not even one "badass". A record!

You would hope that the Wii wold have less of the odd-named chemical in it. Most of them are fire-retardants, and as the Wii has a cooler chipset, shoudln't need them (the 360 obivously does!).

I think Free Radica are underestimating the importance of graphics to FPS games, and Haze in particular. It doesn't have any inspired art direction, it can't run off its franchise fan base, it doesn't bring anything particularly revolutionary to the genre, other than a few gameplay quirks (playing dead, disarming),

I hae my doubts about Halo Wars. One of my favourite things in RTS games is climbing the tech tree to see what's hidden up there, but I've yet to see anything to suggest that the top tier units are Scorpions and Scarabs, which have featured in even the earliest of promo material. I din't see how it's going further.

And order is restored. Following the Gametrailers "extra" PS3 footage debacle, someone needed to use some 360 screenies in an inappropriate place... and balance has been restored to the universe.

He's probably referring to Sander Cohen, who conssitently refers to Jack as a moth, and appears largely as a detached, mystrious voice. Plus, he does send waves of spider slicers at Jack.

While there's certainly plenty leeway for simplifying the menu systems and interface, they've kinda painted themselves into a corner - the original was a bit of a sleeper hit, and there's a lot of buyers who don't want it simplified to a kids level. Personally, I'd rather they kept it at the same level. I can see it

That's a lot of releases over a pretty short period of time. Too many releases?

Doh. Completely missed the PA reference. I'm a bad web nerd.

Oh, now I'm pining for Dungeon Kepper 3. Damn them for putting the trailer at the end of DK2!

That's a fancy-looking spade. I'm covetting it right now.

Does it really matter? As long as both ahve big enough install bases to guarantee future cross platform releases (rather than having an unsupported console) then surely everyone is happy.

After a stellar year of FPS in 2007, does anyone else think that '08 is (especially now) looking a bit quiet for that genre?
