Does that softball song from the Simpsons count?
Does that softball song from the Simpsons count?
It’s not bad, really, it just feels like a big step backwards. This show is a contemporary of The Goode Family, or the Cleveland Show. Watching it now, when the standards for animation are more substantial, well thought out, pov-centric offerings like Tuca & Bertie, Bojack Horseman, and Big Mouth, Duncanville feels…
Last episode was a lot of dithering, too. I will be glad when this story gets moving again. I wouldn’t mind, had it been released all at once, since The Outsider is clearly structured for binge watching, but this week by week schedule they’ve landed on exaggerates every slow beat in the story by several orders of…
There’s actually a much better version of this same article at Entertainment Weekly where they have a panel of seven different Oscar voters discussing their votes.
I laughed at the “Vasquez Rocks” insert. They’ve used those rocks and the surrounding area to film Star Trek episodes and hundreds of other things for decades in Hollywood, and finally the rocks get their moment in the spotlight, without having to pretend to be the surface of some alien world. Go, rocks!
Snake leaf! She is vaping snake leaf. I don’t know what that is, but I better be able to buy a strain of weed named after it the next time I’m in a dispensary.
Diane has always been just as self involved as Bojack, but she’s a much less toxic person, so she doesn’t do anywhere near as much damage. They’re far more alike than they are different.
You’re wrong. Hollyhock’s removal from the story served no purpose other than to motivate Bojack. What she was going through ceased to be important in any way, other than the effect it had on her brother. That is the very definition of fridging a character, even if they technically did not kill her.
This episode was fine, not great, but fine. It’s the next one I’m dreading. The “oh no, Holly is crazy and suggesting something absurd!” episode, that, judging by the preview, is about to befall us. Zzzzzzzzz. What a snoozefest that’s going to be, having already seen that scenario play out in roughly seven million…
This has been my favorite show since the moment it appeared. I’m heartbroken to see it end.
Judah’s song was probably my favorite thing in this final run of episodes. That was surprising and adorable. Her reaction was perfect too.
I just happened to catch that interview, and she was very funny.
You don’t know anything. You’ve never gleamed a cube.
I have Super Robot Wars T. It’s fantastic. I’m excited to see someone write an article about it like this. Way to go, Sam.
There has only ever been one character I identify with more than Francine, and they cancelled Good Girls Revolt a long, long time ago. Francine is like my housewife spirit animal.
I freaking love American Dad. I think it’s slowly turned into the best science fiction show on television. It’s also one of a very small group of shows I don’t feel like I could live without, so I’m always very happy to hear it is getting renewed. And the voice work MacFarlane does on Roger. Holy cow. He can do Roger…
That was the Night Hawks episode? That was amazing.
I really cannot imagine Overwatch League without MonteCristo and DoA. I think the days of me never missing an OWL game (I haven’t missed a game since Geguri joined the league.) are coming to an end.
I can only hope this turtle gets a lifetime achievement presentation at the next AVN Awards.
I wish American Gods the show was half as interesting as American Gods the production.
