Rough week for Harlock.

I love Amazon. I live in a very dangerous city. I’ve seen three different fights break out at stores in the last six months. So far no one has pulled a gun, but guns get pulled all the time here. Amazon is by far the safest way to shop, and I’m extremely grateful for their existence.

It wasn’t just the meme. It was her. She was so insanely smug, every second she was ever on camera, just like Biden. And when people are already thinking you might be kind of cop-like, being a condescending asshole, just like every cop they’ve ever dealt with, goes a long way to confirm those fears. Combine that with

I don’t know anyone under 70 who gives a shit about the Oscars. This isn’t 1980. Getting an Oscar nomination (or even winning) no longer turns your movie into an automatic household name.

I’ll sit patiently through the gifs that show up unsolicited on my twitter feed. That’s as close to 3.5 hours as I have for Martin Scorsese these days.

The basic shape of it? Sure. But that model he’s building isn’t basic. Go pause and look at it. It’s a perfect copy, right down to windows and minute details. That’s not a model you could make from just seeing that video clip. It’s the model of someone who, for whatever reason, knows that structure.

My husband does RC stuff. The most basic rule of drones is that you absolutely do not want any drone you can afford.

I have a wireless Switch controller from a company called Dino that I ordered on Amazon, and it has been great. I’ve been using it about six months now. It was only $25.

That’s crazy. So I guess Lube Man is Petey, despite the fact that it’s not the same actor wearing the Lube Man suit. It seems like the only answer there’s time for, at this point.

I was thinking the thing crashing from space had to be one of Veidt’s old tachyon satellites, and that Trieu wanted it for her time device, but I can definitely see the argument for it being the statue. I’ve never liked my theory because it depends on Trieu not being able to make her own tachyon generator, and I don’t

I keep thinking, well, it’s HBO, and Lindelof has something like carte blanche at this point, so the final episodes can each be two hours long if they need to be. I will certainly be surprised if they can wrap this all up in just two hours.

Yeah, my first thought was Topher, too. Cal surprised me. But I’d also bet money that the kid is Manhattan too. Everyone seems to forget how much he liked to divide himself into different beings, doing different things.

Ok, if you didn’t think “I bet that statue is Veidt.” the first time we saw it, I don’t know how to help you, and I definitely would not hire you to work at my detective agency. Especially when Trieu declares “He IS old!” You think the smartest woman in the world doesn’t know what tense she’s using when she speaks?

I’ve been watching the original Captain Harlock series lately. It’s so good. And decades ahead of its time. Now I feel sad.

I’ll be live tweeting from Pete Davidson’s shows from now on, as though I were in the audience, despite the fact that I’m never going to go to one.

I assumed she was an ex-Imperial and when she turned out to be a rebel I was disappointed.

It was hard (ok, impossible) to take the AT-ST seriously after watching a two hour movie about teddy bears destroying them with sticks and rocks. I rolled my eyes every time that dumb thing was onscreen.

It’s pokemon all the way down.

Mother Mother’s The Sticks. Although I like all their stuff, and as far as I can tell, all their albums are concept albums.

No, it’s a weird series. I was just thinking about how I’ve been playing Pokemon since Red/Blue, and still know virtually nothing about the world of pokemon. I’m not even sure all the games are taking place in the same world. Like if dynamaxed pokemon have always existed, it’s very weird we didn’t hear about them
