They are so weird about what shows they acknowledge and which ones they don’t. I remember watching them write nine articles a week about the train wreck that is the Walking Dead, while completely ignoring Black Sails, and thinking, “Wow, you guys really know how to flog your readers with your tunnel vision.

Thank you, yes, this is what I’m saying. Stan and Francine and the gang have been at war with Santa for ages now, and they have a bunch of good Christmas episodes.

How do you leave American Dad off the list? It’s one of the best animated shows on television, and they have an ongoing death feud with Santa that stretches back like ten years and covers half a dozen episodes. I’m kind of ashamed of you right now, Katie!

Who the hell is watching movies on their phone? Our netflix runs through our tv. The screen of that tv is far larger when viewed from our couch than any movie screen is when viewed from the regular (i.e. not the neck craning front four rows) seats in a movie theater. I mean, our floors aren’t sticky, and our couch is

That’s so sad. It’s a good song though.

Yeah, I actually broke this news here in the AV Club comments section probably six months ago, but no one noticed.

There are definitely too many shows now for anyone to truly know television inside and out. Ten years ago you could say pretty definitively what the best shows on tv were, now all any of us can do is make an educated guess.

Butters peacocking killed me. That was so funny. And Santa’s reaction to the “inappropriate tweeting” was priceless. It was also nice to see Big Gay Al and Heidi at the bike parade, if only for a moment.

You realize you’re at a site dedicated to people obsessed with pop culture, right? Most of us don’t have to look this stuff up. Nor are most of us teenagers whose only source of knowledge is their cell phone.

Saw Carl Weather’s name and came in to star the inevitable “now you’ve got a stew goin’” comment.

I would follow Noah Hawley into any story at this point, whether it seemed relevant to my interests or not. He’s more than earned it.

Don’t tell me! I already know. Psychological studies proving that women like other women far more than men like other men have been available since long before any of us were born. Go tell Amazon. Maybe they’ll bring back Good Girls Revolt and One Mississippi.

I mean, this particular song is not a hill I would think to care about, much less die on, but I agree with the Shatnerkirk in theory. Judging old shows/music/movies through the lens of your 2018 “wokeness” is so lazy and masturbatory. If you were really woke and actually gave a shit about making the world a better

I’ve seen people cosplay Peter from Family Guy before, but this is the first time I’d ever have known who he was supposed to be without being told. That guy has the perfect face for that costume.

This is just another iteration of what we’ve known for decades, if not centuries, which is that both men and women prefer to watch women.

I would say Legion is the most glaring omission from both lists. Their second season was much better than the first, and the first was already one of the best things on television. That Behind Blue Eyes scene where David finally fights the Shadow King was the best thing I saw on a screen all year long, no contest.

Maybe it’s a side effect of being over 30, but there’s maybe one movie on this whole list I would actually need to watch before knowing whether it was terrible or not.

Lived in Peachtree City for three years. It was very cool.

I thought that whole thing was cool and touching. Right up until they stole the “oops, wrong funeral” joke from the Free Churro episode of Bojack Horseman. Or maybe that was their way of saying they got the idea to finally eulogize Carrie Fisher (it’s been two years since she died) by watching that episode of Bojack?

It seems strange, maybe, in retrospect, because Lord of the Rings is like a big mainstream franchise now, with posters for sale in every Walmart, but back in the days of classic rock it was super popular with hippies and musicians and counterculture types. I remember my dad telling me that those books were almost as
