What’s more “normal” than agreeing to be in a scripted reality television show? She just doesn’t want the attention, can she be any more clear!

By normal she means, “ I want people to respect me like they respect people who have skills, (singers and actresses) without actually having to have a skill.”

This reminds me of when Lindy West confronted her personal troll. He admitted to targeting her not because she was fat but because she was fat and didn’t hate herself.

He wants a cookie for being accepting.

I felt the same way, yesterday, reading a story from the VOWS section of the NYT. The headline was something like: Twenty year Age Gap Doesn’t Matter. And I instantly knew that the woman was older since no one would have bothered to notice (much less note) a 20-year age gap were the genders reversed.

Also, this.

👍🏻 👍🏻 His post feels like it’s entering fetish territory to me. :/

As a “curvy” chick (honestly, I like to just call myself a fat girl but people take such issue with that) I’m honestly turned off when a guy makes a big deal about being into curvy girls. I like all types of body types on a dude and I’m not making a point to fucking shout it from the rooftops.

I’d say that it’s because it’s Europe and not the US but you’d probably get a hand slap in the US.

6.5 years doesn’t seem long enough for this shit if you ask me.

I think Charlie Sheen’s a bad example. Yes he’s given a lot of extra chances within his industry, but frankly so has Chris Brown. I don’t see a lot of women making excuses for him. He’s still seen by most people as a pretty gross joke.

Because we’re taught not to. We’re indoctrinated in the same rape culture that men are. For some women, if they admit that X person they liked is capable of that, it means admitting that people they like are capable of that. That they are not invulnerable. That all those scary things could, or even have, happen to

I thought the Polanski/Allen support outside of the industry was primarily from male film buffs?

It really is everywhere, look at how many women voted for and fawn over dirtbags like Donnie Boy Trump and Slick Willie Clinton. It happens in churches all across the land. The stories about Harvey Weinstein and that pervert from Head of the Class are revolting, but they are still welcomed in polite company by people

Exactly. The continued support from women for their problematic faves used to baffle the hell out of me. The “Woody is a visionary”, “Roman has changed” and “Chris wouldn’t beat ME” chicks killed me! But I figured something out. We don’t like women much our own damn selves. We have bought into the idea that these

Real Talk: Why won’t WOMEN turn their back on the powerful performing men of entertainment?
