2009 Subaru Impreza 2.5GT. A WRX derivative saddled with a 4 speed auto and the 2008 224hp motor instead of the newer 265hp version. But at least you got climate control and a sunroof!

The Mustang II. The Mustang is the arguably one of the most iconic American cars in history. The Mustang II and its Pinto chassis is just an abomination.

The CL203 was such a dog! Awful thing this was.

Hey calm down with that talk. The V-6 gives you mileage with the great styling. Plus, I have a race car, I don't need two of them.

'65 Mustang with the Vinyl top. It turned the original Pony car into something that Grandma would want to drive.

I'm all for hatchbacks and wagons, but I want to kill this one with fire.

Coincidentally, the first big maintenance usually comes at 30,000 miles.

That's fine — just so long as you aren't choosing a bad car purely so you can get the 'free maintenance.' My point has nothing to do with leasing or buying, but rather just that free maintenance isn't worth as much as the average customer probably thinks it is.

Generally, no they did not. Their service was top notch and always honored the program. Once however, I got a bit greedy and brought it in right after a track day at Watkins Glen. The rotors & pads had been replaced about 5 weeks prior and now were seriously warped from the Hawk pads that were in there. I brought

Hahaha. "Sir, the rapture has not yet occurred; please call us when it does and we'll be happy to change your oil."

Fair enough and makes sense. I thought you just really really wanted to use that door joke.

Can confirm: Had a VW GTI. Went to adjust the volume and the passenger door fell of. LOL, just kidding. But, yeah, it's amazing how when it's YOUR money, oil change intervals are like 5k or 7.5K or every week, whichever comes first. But when it's THEIR money, oil change intervals are suddenly like 100K. or until

Honest answer: because the oil change interval on a Corolla is 5k miles, and the stupid free maintenance thing looks even stupider when the interval is 10k, thus making the article better if I chose VW. In the end, Toyota's program offers a SLIGHTLY better value, since it includes five oil changes rather than two,

99% of the time, you're 100% right. Free maintenance is to attract people who have no DIY skills whatsoever and are "afraid" of maintenance. My brother is like this.. Anyway that 1% is for people who track their cars. I had a 2003 540 Sport that I took to every track day i could fine. Granted, unlike the VW

Totally true. If you want the car anyway, it's just icing on the cake. For my Corolla friend... it was the tipping point. Which it shouldn't be.

Hahaha. Two things: one, we ARE very close to the dealer, though this was purely by chance, and two, the car is starting to do the thing where it raises and lowers at stop lights, which suggests to me that the OTHER corner air suspension is about to fail. So stay tuned.

Is it really free, isn't that an option on some cars? It especially isn't free if it convinces you to buy a Corolla, that costs you and your closest relative's soul and happiness.
