You make a good point Tilting, but I think it's important to remember that Valve inst necessarily going to go after the black guy who made racial slurs out of a need for revenge. It's going to look at the logs and target the person who started the fight. Or, they will in a perfect world. More likely they'll look at

I was going to just reply to the following comment, but as I wrote I realized this was something of a larger response and worth it's own thread.

Well where did you hear that? Is it a reliable source? How many sources are making that claim? You have to consider these things when peddling rumors. There's an art to managing what is and isn't probable.

Well Nintendo doesnt have a habit of tacking numbers onto their updates. History bears this out, with the exception of the Super Nintendo, so likely it will have a new name.

And if the rumor of EA being in possession of a dev kit for a 360 successor proves to be true, then Nintendo might not have the lead it had hoped for.

Oh man that's Shara from Tekkaman Blade! or Teknoman from here in the states, BADDASS!

Story and plot are desirable, but they are no substitute for game play. I'm not saying I didnt enjoy the plot, I really did, and it was clever, but the type of game play they had worked back in the early 2000's, but as a studio they didnt feel like they had moved past Max Payne.

Actually if we're honest with ourselves it was pretty limited. The game basically was built on one mechanic and maybe four enemies (poltergeists dont count). You can collapse the entire experience to 1.light 2.dodge 3.shoot, and that's it for EVERY encounter in the game. There was nothing really to switch that up.

Yes. Yes they are. Episode 1 has it's slow moments, but It's worth playing through at least once. On the other hand Episode 2 is a thrill ride from beginning to end. Episode 3 Will be released at the zenith of the next ice age and it will warm all our frozen hearts.

That would be Posion, first from final fight and then as a background character in the street fighter alpha series.

Therein lies the problem. Writers need to be in on the creation of a game, from it's inception to it's completion to ensure that the very feel of it syncs with the game's plot.

The quality of Valve's writing is wholly dependent on the fact that they've ponied up and hired actual writers to be part of their teams. Other places will call in a writer for a story treatment on something the designer has put together, but it's in no way worked into the game, nor does the writer ever see the game

Really love that trailer. It get's every element from the games, the casual violence, the father son relationship, the needless sex. So perfect!

TRIAL OF THE DRAGON!!!

s'warm down here....

Pritchford has been around the public space of games for over a decade. Gearbox first made a splash doing expansions for Halflife back in the late nineties.

@gigawings: This is very likely the case. I very much equate game quality with my own personal tastes in player movement and feel. If a character feels weighty and real then then I tend to enjoy the game, even if that character isnt super responsive (though it helps).
