There is a doc on Netflix about living and working in Antartica. It’s mostly so the scientists and researches can function and live there though. I looked up how to be one of these people (not smart enough to be a penguinologist).

Went to HS in the 90s in an area that maybe had <1% whites and I didn’t hear about ‘Kill Haole Day’ until I was in colloge from my boss that went to HS in the 70s.
The Big Island is ALL rural. If the outsiders can stick to the Honolulu area and within the vicinity, they’d be OK. The further away, including outer islands, it becomes to be a little more...suspect.
