Of course we can do the math. The point is he wrote a whole post about the mpg while not even mentioning the figures. It's extremely bad journalism and while it wasn't necessarily intended to be, this is clickbait.
Okay now see that's my problem here. You do not start an article with the Mercedes C63 is a hell of a lot better on gas without first saying the numbers. What you just replied to me, should be the opening sentence on the main article. I didn't come here to calculate MPG figures, i'd be doing that somewhere else. I…
The old C63 got 13mpg city and a 32% increase is 17.16mpg. Which is equal to the new M4/3(competitor), and better then the RS5(competitor), M6(twin turbo V8), RS7(twin turbo V8). It is also one mpg better then the CLS which gets 16 city. I got my numbers from fueleconomy.gov.
A car that did this was on pimp my ride... Im serious.
Haha, I know. I couldn't pass up the chance to make that joke.
Because this car is at least 1oox nicer than a Hellcat, weighs a full one thousand (!) pounds less, and will handle much better? And, with some tuning, will be about as fast in a straight line anyway? I'm talking like, pull out the charcoal filters and add a piggyback. Done.
What's so sad ?
This is gonna fail, again.
Thinking of all the things you could buy for $70,000, a big Passat is not very high on the list.

AGREED! New C-Class is disturbingly ugly IMO
And a dual clutch trans. #inb4threepedalcrybabies
Oh man this gets me excited about the new TT-RS. The new TT with a 5 cylinder turbo is about as sexy as a car can get.
The Mid-Engined Corvette: This Is It
Why? because it looks better, is faster, better resale, more reliable, doesn't have a Toyota engine, better name recognition, Porsche of America isn't likely to disappear in the next couple years.
The GRC is as much a Beetle as the Nascar Toyotas are Camrys.
