Good luck selling that "DIY" maintained supercar.

Remember...everything BMW does is bad. Everything. Until the future. Then it's all amazing and wonderful and they pretend they loved it. If BMW came out tomorrow with an all-carbon manual diesel F30 wagon that came only with manual windows, a manual tranny, no iDrive, and only came in brown, and had the option for…
But our man Damon who tested the Hellcat said that he had way more fun in the V6 Challenger than the Hellcat on track, because the Hellcat was nearly unusable. On the street, lower power, like the 1.0 liter Fiesta, lets you ring it out without actually breaking any laws at all. Because it isn't fast enough to break…
The Horizon series is trash. I want to race, not drive to a fucking rave and pretend I'm in Fast and The Furious 77: I Wish I was Racing To An EDM Hipster Rave
Good thing it was only a 4.6!
Mercedes-AMG bi-turbo M158 5980 cc V12
Yeah that's not off the shelf
I may be in the minority but the "DB9 shrunk to 75%" looks of the Vantage always struck me as awkward. I find the DB9 (and its derivatives) much more attractive. Plus the added power of the DB9 is nice. And the interiors are nicer.
This is a very cool car, but for 200k I can think of quite a few things I'd rather have...all of which are faster, probably lighter, built better, and of higher quality inside and out.
Some might say I need to turn in my enthusiast card but every time I see a new Aston I just yawn. I'm sure its fantastic and I would absolutely love one but it just doesn't do anything for me if I am actually buying one.
So why dont you enlighten me as to how this is a better GT then a M6, RS7, or S63 AMG coupe?
The M6 is way faster. It is not even close. Dont just look at weight and horsepower when comparing any cars, and especially when you are looking at the Germans. The regular M6 beat the regular V12 Vantage by 2 seconds on Laguna Seca. The F Type and 911 Turbo don't quite make the luxury quantification, but they are…
Since when does price equate class? An Ariel Atom 3.5R(Corvette ZR1, Nissan GTR, and 911 GT3) costs more than a XTS and is faster, but it is not classier. It is not bull shit, and I am not the only one who said that. You must've drank the punch.
Vantages are not classy for Aston Martin level people. The ones looking for class are getting DB9s and Rapides. The Vantage is to Aston Martin class as a base Audi A1 is to german luxury.
My fascination with Astons is starting to fade; seeing as you can get a lot more from other manufacturers at the same price while looking as classy as ever. Remember even handmade, handcrafted stuff have flaws too
Aston Martin should just quit at some point. BMW, Audi, and MB offer much better cars for A LOT less money.
