I am not writing Nissan out because they qualified last haha. I am writing out Nissan because their car is slow as shit. It is over. Nissan absolutely will not win unless everyone else crashes out. That is if they even finish. I honestly want them to finish without any issues in the off chance LMP2 cars do more laps.

Yes, but someone could have technically beat their time today.

If you actually watched F1 you’d notice that in some races cars can run one or two stop races. If the tires lasted an entire race and without refueling it would make pit crews useless. The cars would never need to stop. -__-

Yeah I saw that. Congrats now they have two cars ahead of LMP2 and all 3 cars are slow as dirt and uncompetitive.

If you know how all the transmissions work I shouldn’t need to convince you.

Instead of testing they were busying making commercials driving backwards at COTA. A giant marketing ploy.

Sorry, but Nissan has already lost. Only one car is a head of the fastest LMP2 cars. The only way Nissan wins is if everyone one else doesn’t finish. Nissan’s car is not competitive at all.

Because it is slow as dirt.

I never said a sports car with a CVT has been built. I am simply saying the technology used in a CVT is faster than a DCT, normal auto, and a manual. I am saying in theory if they were all in the same car, the CVT would be the fastest.

I am obviously talking about a car designed for performance not your car designed for fuel economy. A CVT that was setup for track performance instead of preserving gas would take the cake.

Agreed

CVTs have’t developed to withstand massive amounts of power. But with all things equal the CVT wins.

In a 250 hp car CVT vs Manual vs DCT with the same driver and a perfect lap for all the runs the CVT wins all day.

Disclaimer: I don’t like CVTs

I never said anything about whether their car is good or not. The guy simply said you have to win to be popular and matter, and Alonso and Button prove otherwise. Did you read both comments?

The question isn’t about development. The question is whether she would come 5th if she was given the chance to qualify in the car, and I bet she would.

I never said anything about which looks better. The person I responded to said the BMWs look the same, so I posted to him showing the Mercedes look more similar.

Why are you writing that in a response to me? That has absolutely nothing to do with what I said.

Agreed this is stupid as shit.

Clearly you are just talking to talking. Just saying nonsense.

No kidding. If you read the article until the end you will see it says it is possibility. What are you telling me for? I never said they would hire Danica.

No kidding. I am not making any claims that everyone doesn’t do it and that is hasn’t been going on for a while. The original poster is making a claim that Mercedes is doing something different than everyone else and they are not.
