I was also going to throw in how the path Michael Corleone started down to save his family ultimately destroyed it, but that seemed like getting carried away.

That’s not stupid. Anakin did what he did because of a vision Padme would die. She died anyway.
Neither of which should be confused with “fucking a good actress.”
“...but that’s the what we got and there’s no way for anyone to go back and change bad things in a Star Wars movie.”
I think it’s a fair observation that coffee-drinkers can be divided among those who enjoy coffee in its own right and those who think it’s something interesting to add to sugar and dairy.
“The unfairness of a power imbalance that left Brent’s employees unable to call him out was the punchline.”
I have yet to read an analysis that convinces me Clinton got more people to vote for her than Sanders did because of any chicanery by the DNC and not simply because more Democratic primary voters preferred her.
If Sanders had “excited the base” it shouldn’t have mattered what the DNC leadership was doing. The base is who decides primary victories. That is, as somebody else pointed out, why they’re called “the base.”
That actually makes a certain kind of sense in that it seems to me that a lot of libertarians are libertarians of convenience — government isn’t so bad when it benefits them or theirs.
Much the same way Republicans will always call whoever the Democrats nominate for president “the most liberal member of Congress” (when they’d say that about Obama I was always all “Um, hello? Bernie Sanders?”) progressives will always tend to call whoever is leading their chosen candidate in the primaries a…
I keep thinking about Grant’s line about how “Ifs defeated the Confederates at Gettysburg.”
There was a very weird subsection of Sanders supporters. I remember a couple in the periphery of my social circle talking about how with Sanders out they were going to vote for Gary Johnson and I was like, “Um... did you pay attention to ANYTHING Sanders stands for?”
“Bernie would have excited the base.”
I tried Limburger expecting to love it because usually I’m all about stinky cheese.
Hillary Clinton got more votes than Bernie Sanders.
I’m not going to hold my breath for that since she said most of her action was post-Endor, but that is going in at number two on the list of things I hope happen in that show.
You thought “The Venn Diagram of people who (stupidly, wrongly) loathe The Last Jedi and are inexplicably bonkers over this show is practically a circle.” WASN’T rude or insulting?
My quarrel with V is not the subject matter so much as the execution.
This just occurred to me — maybe having the Darksaber all this time has made him wish he could wield it like a Jedi, and he was hoping to extract something from Baby Yoda that he could then inject and give himself Force powers.
As someone who likes but sees flaws in both, I’m about ready to lock both your annoying asses in a cargo hold together until you learn to get along and stop being such drips.
