this is what people say after every interaction or interview with Patrick Stewart.  He really is delightful.

Even the commercials that are there are rarely that terrible in terms of length or how frequently they pop up. it’s like 45 seconds every 15-ish minutes (sometimes longer between breaks).

It’s got a lot of stuff - from a B-movie bonanza to top rated classic films, to vintage and newer TV shows. It’s a good service, free or not.

Go watch ‘The Adventures of Robin Hood’, then a palate cleanser of ‘Demon Squad’. You can thank me later.

It’s not just queer stuff, either. I remember a cereal commercial that featured an interracial couple and comments everywhere were furious that they were “shoving it down our throats.” I don’t know what “it” was, but having it exist on TV amounted to having “it” shoved down your throat.

It’s funny, because in other threads you see apoplectic dipshits proclaiming that queer visibility and incremental increases in queer representation in media amounts to a fucking takeover.

It’s a federal holiday

I don’t think most people expect corporations to reflect their values, just not actively oppose them. I’m Gen X. I stopped going to Chik Fil-A because of their support of anti-LGBTQ causes. Most places I shop or buy food, I don’t know their values, so I don’t care. It’s only when they put it out there for all to see.
