One of the many reasons not to let Nazis run your educational system- the good guys clearly had smarter smart people.

Eh, I guess. I get the desperation; it just seems a waste to have your one shot at a thing be such a weak one.

I felt like General Schott’s plan was pretty lousy, actually, and not worth his utter determination to carry it out (though it was a kick seeing Winn be all badass, heh). So they close the portal trapping the Evil Three on Earth 1. And? So? How does that stop them? It’s not like that single portal is even close to the

Yeah, generally the toys are more puzzling than fun, but I quite liked those. Especially Saruman and his little light-up palantir.

I love clam chowder, and I still think it’s a brilliant description. My children shall know it thus.

Which, Earth: Final Conflict? I was never able to get my hands on that one, weirdly enough. I saw about twenty minutes of one ep and that was it. Though, I have to admit, after the bit I saw, I wasn’t really hunting it down. Life’s too short.

Heh. I was going to make the Andromeda comparison, until I thought, “Self, then everyone will know you watched it. Have some pride.” But I only read it for the articles, of course.

The Rip/Gideon situation in this ep was bizarre to me. I mean, even if she’s just a program, he and Gideon are a pair. It’s not quite Kirk/Enterprise, but it’s up there. He loves that ship. And he just mothballs her? I don’t buy it. Even for him, that’s cold and repressed.

She wasn’t invulnerable on Krypton, and she didn’t come to Earth until she was ~12, so there was plenty of time to get them done.

Geez, Go, I haven’t seen that in years. And yeah, you’re totally right. For some reason, when I was in grad school, I did a double feature of Go and Strange Days one night. Weird, ill-fitting combination (I had raided my school’s video library, I think- this was ca. 2000-2001), and I didn’t even do it as a

I own Drive Angry just for William Fichtner’s scenes. I fast forward through everything else- sorry, Mr Cage!- and just enjoy Fichtner being so, so off-kilter and awesome. Some of the strangest line readings I’ve heard (of some of the worst lines, lordy) and yet he’s just endlessly fascinating.

E.B. White is Charlotte, Wilbur and Stuart Little. C.S. Lewis is Surprise Jesus Kitty.

True, I do love Lockjaw, and if it had been Lockjaw! or maybe Lockjaw and the Pet Avengers, I would have been conflicted. But alas, those dumb royal Inhumans are all over the place instead. So instead I watched ominous things happening ominously and had a lovely evening. Hm, maybe Lockjaw can jump over to Fox and

Seriously, don’t watch Inhumans. It’s going to be terrible, you know it’s going to be terrible, why would you do that to yourself? Watch The Exorcist, now with added John Cho! You’ll be much happier with your choices.

I haven’t been watching the show, but reading the recaps every week has made it sound like a more gory, less fun Zoo. And sadly, I think I only have room in my heart for one awful, ridiculous show per summer.

Don’t forget Ripley. We get Sarah Connor and Ripley and... that’s it.

Yeah. It's a pity, because I'm usually a big fan of Marguerite Bennett's work, but this series just hasn't caught me. Kate seems off, and none of the supporting cast is that interesting.

That's honestly my only quibble with Heathen. Great characters, interesting ideas, solid art, but arrrrgh, why are they dressed like that?! So frustrating.

I was going to say something similar but luckily scrolled down first, because you did it masterfully. Trump is utterly undeserving of such a comparison.
