I actually prefer the new direction. It looks quite a bit like bioshock and since we will probably never get another bioshock, I’ll take what I can get. The cyber punk version looked neat, but a little generic. Hopefully, this one turns out ok!

You are right that they will be fine even if NX flops. I think the more valid concern is if NX flops Nintendo may pull out of the console market all together. Personally, I dream of the day I could play Nintendo IPs on my xbox or playstation, so I am hoping they stop making consoles.
