Which is why I don't mod anything on my Focus ST. Someday when I do sell it say 10 years down the road (unless I somehow get insanely rich and start tracking Ferraris every other weekend, which I know people who do), I will be able to truthfully say "no modifications ever." And because of that, I can ask a much higher

I don't care if this has a goddamn Camry engine in it, I would buy the shit out of this car if it turns out looking like this.

Plastidip your stock rims. It takes 2 cans, makes your rims an awesome matte black, protects them against curb rash and brake dust, keeps your rims easily washable, and when they get scratched enough after 1 year of abuse you can just peel it off and spray on a new coat. The black rims make my yellow FoST look soooo

If the seats were better in the Abarth I would have bought that car. I absolutely have the driving position in that car - you're sitting on top of the car, way high-up, when you really should be hunkered down and sitting in the car. Ended up getting a Focus ST instead because it's the best trackable road-trippable car

I had such a great time buying my Focus ST last year. Not just from the dealer but also from my wife. Background:

I gotta say this was one of the more lame (and horribly incorrect) reviews of his. I used to like them but I'm not too hot about them now.

My wife is looking into a 2015 WRX, Mini Cooper S (either hardtop or the outgoing Coupe, which looks better but is worse), 2016 Miata (if it's better than the current one by a good margin), or this car.

MazdaSpeed3. The Focus ST has reached the limits of FWD power and it needs some really fancy computers to help it out. The Speed3 throws all that aside, adds more power, and makes absolutely sure you will break traction and veer out of your lane from torque steer whenever you want to pass someone on the road.

You mean the Fiesta 3-cylinder 1.0 turbo? That's more like the ST Jr. Perfect for someone who wants to have fun without needing those awesome Recaro seats.

I kind of agree with you - the super-short wheelbase makes it super-darty up until you push the limits, and once the limits are surpassed it becomes an annoyingly dull ride. The Fiesta ST lets you go bonkers past the limits, but the Cooper S just kind of bogs down. I do think better torque vectoring would help quite a

How is Shanghai not on this list? If there is one country that has built the most impressive public transit system in the world, it's China. The Shanghai Metro has 14 lines, 329 stations, and 334 miles of track operating currently making it the most extensive metro system in the world. Their trains are incredibly

It's the torque curve difference that makes it worth it. The base V6 doesn't really pull until 4000-4500 rpm, but the Ecoboost gets all its torque at half the RPM. It's going to be much more fun and much faster to drive around everyday since hardly anyone redlines their engine in stop-and-go or highway traffic. The

A set of hex-shaped things, both male and female (e.g. a set of torx bits and a set of hex sockets).

On a good long 70mph road trip I can get maybe 30mpg in my Focus ST (rated 23/32).

I wouldn't go quite as far as saying that China's middle class is growing and that all its workforce is getting tons of money. It sure seems like it, but it's actually China's upper class that is expanding like crazy.

Pleeeeaaaasseee do the EcoBoost 2.0! It's a fantastically small and light engine with oodles of headroom for extra power and torque. The tight and clean intake and exhaust routing also helps a ton to make it something you can easily stick in other frames. The transmission bolted to it is also nice - mount that pair in

An early 90's Toyota Pickup with the V6. The more rust the better. Those things are essentially street-legal bumper cars with your other high-school friends with crappy cars (of course you all would agree to bump each other beforehand). My best friend from college would toy with other people by running into his

I like the new front and the old rear a little bit better. The non-silver wheels are a HUGE improvement in looks, though. But it doesn't matter for me, I plasti-dipped mine black so they look fantastic (and don't corrode from brake dust in 2 weeks!).

More power?

Cobb has gotten the 2.0L Ecoboost to 300HP/380TQ without issues, so I'd expect the 2.3L to get around the same. The insane low and mid-end torque on the 2.0L is fantastic and would definitely pair well with the Mustang.
