@Nethlem: The Wii is definitely the easiest console to "hack" as you don't have to open it up at all and Nintendo doesn't release updates that often so you don't have to keep "re-hacking" it.

Even though I've got a 360 I'd say PS3 is the way to go. For $300, you're getting a fully featured media box (except for file format limitations that can easily be worked around) as well as a game system and a 3D-ready Blu-Ray player.

DVD-quality rips will be out alot earlier when this gets released. I don't think it will last long.
