Well, the soundtrack was the bulk of the film's budget. Might as well flaunt it, I guess.

I'm pretty sure Plain Recordings would be on that list. They're notoriously awful.

Ha, I'm kind of in the same boat. I like Damian too, but at this point in my life, I think I've heard enough about how punk is the most important thing that ever happened. Ahh, I'll still check it out.

I've listened to a little bit of today's episode on Romeo + Juliet (a movie I haven't even seen BTW), and I'm liking it a lot more than the previous two. It's more of an actual conversation rather than an exaggerated argument.

This week's episode of The Canon was a total head-scratcher for me. Devin defends The Temple of Doom for an hour just to admit at the end that it's not worthy being in the canon (because of course it isn't).

The part where Ernie asks Munson to finish his bowl of cereal outside kills me every time.

And also… PG-13 boobs!

That was my thought too.

Yeah, I *knew* I'd heard it on basic cable before. Maybe cartoon pussies don't count.

Over the years, I've gotten really sick of the use of bleeped cursing in comedy shows. I'm lookin' at YOU, Jon Stewart.

Slight correction: It Comes to You in a Plain Brown Wrapper did finally get an official release on vinyl in 2008.

Yeah, I think Ice Cream for Crow is actually my favorite album of his these days.

Totally agree about John French. It's amazing to read about what all he went through for the sake of making Don's music a reality.

Okay, so I'm not missing out on anything if I pull the plug on this episode halfway through? I'm having a hard time listening to it without yelling at my iPhone.

Yeah, I was wondering what happened there.

Yeah, Sheik Yerbouti is pretty all over the place anyway, so it doesn't strike me as a particularly odd opener. Burnt Weeny Sandwich would be a much better example: A bunch of dense neo-classical chamber music bookended with two doowop songs.

Yeah, it sounds EXACTLY like my guitar tabs phone app. There's no way that's an actual human playing a keyboard.

Yeah, he seemed to be particularly tired and irritated (and not in an exaggerated "character" way) during the final months of the show. I'm also hoping the break did Tom some good.

Tom actually did mention PFT in his long list of "thank yous" during the final Best Show. I thought that was nice.

Re: Joe Derosa — I guess the O&A thing explains why his new album has an average rating of one star on iTunes and Amazon right now. That's about O&A fans' style. I really liked him on NNF. I realize this would have an insanely limited appeal, but I'd totally listen to Joe do a U Talkin' U2 To Me-style podcast on Zappa.
