I got the impression that Matt made a comment to Julian during the break that made him over-think the joke, which is what lead to him apologizing for it. I love Matt, but he can be a bit of a fuddy-duddy at times.

I don't know. I think I was just happy to hear Aaron sounding positive and friendly in an interview, especially with his new sobriety and split from Ween. In the interviews I've heard/read in the past, Gene and Dean could be a little dickish.

I'm pretty sure Chuck Woolery just eclipsed Shandling in Tom's Twitter feuds.

I've enjoyed the few Roth novels I've read (Portnoy, The Human Stain, and The Great American Novel), but whenever I read reviews for any other his other books, the reviews are pretty mixed. Maybe Goodbye Columbus would be a good one to go with?

I don't know about worst, but it seriously has to be one of the most middle-of-the-road rock songs ever written. Rock music doesn't get any more nondescript than that.

Heh, your first paragraph reminded me of a situation I was in a few weeks ago. My girlfriend and I are both going back to college, and I quickly learned that we both have VERY different study habits. I generally prefer either complete silence or instrumental music. She, on the other hand, likes to have the TV on. One…

One of my favorite albums to study and write papers to in college was Frank Zappa's Shut Up 'N Play Yer Guitar. There are some jazz albums that are good too as long as you stay away from the more dissonant stuff. Not sure if I would advise blasting Bitches Brew while attempting to concentrate on anything else.

Heh, your second paragraph makes her sound like the female Bill Maher.

I don't know much about her, so I don't really have any strong opinions on her one way or the other, but the reviews of her book on Amazon are a pretty entertaining read.

Yeah, I thought it was a lot of fun. Really looking forward to future episodes.
