I think if Jon Stewart had stayed on the job through the 2016 election, the Democrats' chances would been much better. He seemed to be the one voice who could call Fox, Breitbart et al on their bullshit on a daily basis and people would actually pay attention.

I agree about Kirk and it wasn't something so out of left field that it destroys the episode, like Milhouse suddenly being Italian. It makes sense that a guy like Kirk might be a washed up small college lacrosse player.

The kid is socially awkward, bullied and spends all his spare time working as a dishwasher, so I never thought mere "social embarrassment" was a believable motivation for complying with the blackmailers. I thought the illegal porn/pedophilia angle was signaled early on.

I assumed from the outset that Kenny had something much worse than just jerking off to porn. I thought that was understood but not stated for the entire episode. Because obviously being filmed jerking off would be a little embarrassing but not enough to instill the level of fear and compliance that we saw.

Why is Kenny's GPS in miles and not km?

Segments 2 and 3 reminded me of a lot of science fiction but especially Stephen King's "The Jaunt". The idea of a seemingly endless eternity alone with nothing but your own thoughts is truly terrifying.
