My first play through I just used the obvious choices based on my dialogue with the characters. Samara is there for her biotics not her leadership. Tali is the best engineer ever. And it is possible to get her and Legion’s loyalty if you have enough points into paragon or renegade.

Any future Star Trek series needs to look at Babylon 5 as an example. B5 had a series bible and a set 5 year story from the outset. The only time it broke away from this plan was when they weren’t sure if they were going to get a 5th season so they had to pull a few arcs out of nowhere to fill the final 22 episodes.

A better idea would be to establish that there are different ethnicities of Klingons and the Discovery Klingons are one of the minorities which leads to internal tension within the Empire. (Going for that racism allegory)

Honestly, if Covid did anything positive for the industry it was to allow more lengthy post production and allowed for a backlog of movies in the can.  Hopefully this means movies won’t feel rushed and actually have polished effects.
