He just didn’t have the right Brat.

It’s an off roader that’s overrated. Based solely on the title of this QOTD and not the article tied to it that I didn’t read, this fits the question.

I cannot wait for what you guys have up your sleeves. Most of the time I come here for you two anyway.

My son’s getting our 2016 Outback in a couple months...which is nuts that it’s the equivalent of a $20,000 used car. A 6 year old 85,000k mile Outback...worth over $20,000. What a world.

Now playing

“Impossible to find”? or literally the first result if you search for “GM suicidal robot commercial” in YouTube?

I keep seeing people say the headlights suck. When I bought it a couple years ago, they absolutely sucked. It was like a couple dollar store flashlights taped to the front. But I paid a couple extra bucks for some quality sealed beams and they’re perfectly fine. It just seems like when it comes to sealed beam

I daily an 02 TJ and it sucks just the right amount in all the right ways. I love that thing.

This is true. The immense sales of the 4 door by people who “don’t get it” is what funds the continued production of the 2 door trims that aren’t as popular. Just like with Subaru, if people weren’t gobbling up Outbacks and Foresters for the last 20 years we sure as hell wouldn’t have an STi or BRZ.

I was thinking no nav strictly because of cost savings, but really a dedicated nav is probably important in something that would primarily be bought by people who would take it into the country. Maybe that’s an expense that’s worthwhile.

For Wrangler, I as pondering this a couple days ago.

I had a Legacy sedan with the 2.2 and automatic. The 2.2 and the 4EAT combined is what allowed this vehicle to surpass 300k miles. It might be under powered by modern standards, but it does the job well.

He’s between two lanes for most of the video once he starts accelerating. Also, at the end the video shows him take both hands off the wheel to celebrate. I could see the prosecution pointing to both of these.

2002 TJ. I think you’re probably good.

I’m not saying the 3 speed in my Jeep is good on the highway...it’s not. But around town I love it.

And on a rare occasion a muffler does rust out, they’re not expensive to replace on the cars where this would actually happen.

I did a valve adjustment on my 02 CRV years ago. Fixed the tick, but gained an oil leak. Didn’t think to add Permatex to the new gasket.

Yeah...my hvac vent controls in my Jeep don’t work because there’s apparently a vacuum leak somewhere.

Pads also age. Even if they never run out of pad, they’ll still need to be replaced at some point to remain safe and effective. Also, discs will inevitable rust from the inside out.

Back in the day when 100,000 miles was almost unheard of for a car

100,000 miles is now considered broken in, not end of life.
